Raipur. Raipur court has sent IPS and suspended ADG GP Singh has been sent to 14-day judicial remand. For the first time in the history of Chhattisgarh, an IPS officer has been sent to jail. The ACB team had reached the court with him. The police caught GP Singh from Gurugram last week in the disproportionate assets case. Since then GP Singh was on police remand in ACB’s Raipur office. In the initial days, GP Singh did not give any answer during the interrogation. On Tuesday afternoon, the police remand of GP Singh was over.

The family argued of his poor health, GP Singh’s family members and lawyers claim that GP Singh is fully cooperating in the investigation. Due to the pressure of the police, his health is deteriorating.

Last time in the court campus, GP Singh had said that, this is a case of political victimization, I have been saying it from the beginning. I was investigating the Civil Supplies Corporation when the witnesses were asked to be hostile, in this case Raman Singh and Veena Singh were asked to be implicated. GP Singh has said that the FIR registered against him is completely wrong. The property which is said to be in his name is not his and he has nothing to do with it. He then said that this entire case is fabricated.
