Raipur. An important meeting of the Panchayati and Rural Development Department was held today at Mantralaya (Mahanadi Bhawan). At the beginning of this meeting, Panchayat Minister T S Singhdeo reviewed the district panchayats, in which the details of the approved and progressive works were presented on Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin). While reviewing the progress of toilet construction under New Household Latrine in district panchayats. It was informed that 1,00,084 works were approved out of a total target of 1,46,365, while 25,032 are under construction.  Panchayat Minister T S Singhdeo directed the officers to complete these works expeditiously. Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri TS Singhdev, while reviewing the latest progress under the Gobardhan Yojana, provided guidelines to ensure space for biogas plants and to complete their construction work at the earliest. While discussing the construction and use of community toilets, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister TS Singhdeo said that the department has set a target of 6031, in which 3275 works are complete.


ODF components of PLUS include sustainability (availability and use of toilets in all households and institutions), solid waste management, liquid waste management and manifest cleanliness of the village. Along with this, Panchayat Minister suggested activities for IEC at the village level. 

After this meeting, Panchayat and Rural Development Minister TS Singhdeo reviewed the expenditure made by the District Panchayat / Janpad Panchayat / Gram Panchayat for the allocation received in the year 2020-21. He spoke about completing the development works within this time frame and examined the allocation and expenditure amount to the districts. Panchayat Minister discussed the action plan for training the elected representatives of three-tier Panchayati Raj Institutions; on resolving pending audit objections of Accountant General and State Audit Department and other important subjects. While appreciating the better performing sections in all these matters, he asked them to share the experiences of the Chief Executive Officers of the districts with others.

After this, the Panchayat Minister reviewed the Sansad Adarsh ​​Gram Yojana and obtained their district-wise information. He also examined the development plan of selected villages from phase 4 to 6 of (2019-24), the one-time amount provided for the villages, the utility and expenditure sheet of 50 thousand, the online portal and the dynamic ranking under the scheme.

 

Panchayat Minister T S Singhdeo gave necessary guidelines after reviewing the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme district wise.

 

He received information from the departmental officers regarding the status of the Mahatma Gandhi NREGA scheme, in which the state average has been 92% against the target till November 2021 and 61% in March 2021. The participation of women under NREGA has been 50% (Raipur 57%, Rajnandgaon 59%, Balod 59%, Durg 63%), failed transactions total 30,81,08 in which Balodabazar is highest at 48811 and Bijapur is the least at 108. Panchayat Minister T S Singhdeo directed to reduce the rejected transactions by reconciling the account details.
