Bilaspur. The case of a Congress leader using abusive language in the Civil Lines police station on Thursday night is now gaining momentum. The high officials of the police are very angry with this. The police are in the mood to take the strictest action against Congress leader Akbar Khan in this case. The police are searching the records of old cases of Akbar Khan. There are clear indications that an FIR can be registered against Akbar Khan in this matter by late evening. Today a memorandum was handed over to Superintendent of Police Deepak Jha by the supporters of the city MLA, Shailesh Pandey, of Congress, including the councillors of the Municipal Corporation. In the memorandum, they demanded immediate action describing it as highly objectionable and criminal. The councillors and Congresspeople who came to hand over the memorandum have urged the District Superintendent of Police to kindly remove TI Civil Line from his post and take strict action by registering a criminal case against Akbar Khan.
All of them have said through a memorandum to the District Superintendent of Police that, if a criminal case is not registered against Akbar Khan by October 31 and remove the TI Civil Line; then on November 1, there will be a protest outside the Civil Lines police station.
