Bilaspur:Bilapur City MLA Shailesh Pandey has written a letter to the Principal Secretary, School Education Department, urging him to issue an order for the schools asking them to prevent children from coming to schools in view of scorching heat in the state.
The MLA said in the letter that the maximum temperature reached 43 degree Celsius on Tuesday and it is predicted that the temperature will further rise. At present the temperature in Bilaspur and many other parts of the state was recorded 44 degree Celsius. In such situation, schools are open and children are going to schools. Reports of children falling ill are being received from various parts of the state.
Parents are calling him to share the problems and demanding closure of schools for children, MLA Pandey informed the principal secretary in the letter.
Therefore the MLA urged the principal secretary to close the academic activities for children.
