Like Arang, more Congress workers will be joining BJP in other parts of state: Purandeswari
Raipur:‘Congress does politics on caste and religion, not BJP’
BJP Chhattisgarh In-charge D Purandeswaritermed Chhattisgarh Urban Administration and Development Minister Shiv Kumar Dahariya’s allegation that BJP is threatening Congress workers to join BJP as ridiculous.
People are happy with the Central schemes and therefore they are joining the BJP. Even Congress workers are happy with the Central government, she said, adding more Congress workers will be joining BJP in other parts of the state like Arang. It is to be mentioned, 6000 Congress workers switched to BJP making Dahariya to allege BJP of threatening his party workers.
Purandeswari laughed at the allegation made by Dahariya and said people of the state are satisfied with the Central government schemes. Centre is providing housing to the needy but the state government is not implementing central schemes. People are aware today and they can differentiate between right and wrong, she said.
In response to a query, she said that everybody knows as to who does politics in the name of caste and religion.
BJP National Vice President and former Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh said that the politics by Congress in Chhattisgarh has reached its lowest level, and Kawardha violence and action taken by the state government in the case is an example of it. Government is directionless in Chhattisgarh even after three in power, said Dr Singh. Those who displayed knives in the Kawardha violence were not booked under Section 307 of the IPC, but innocent people were put behind the bar. This government had deprived people of Kawardhaof celebrating Diwali, alleged Dr Singh.
Atrocity act was imposed against innocent people in Kawardha case, he said.
On Jhiram Ghati case, Dr Singh said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s haste for constituting a new commission remains a mystery. The Chief Minister could not even wait for the Governor’s decision on the report submitted by Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra Commission on Jhiram, he said.
