Korba Collector takes action in irregularities in land acquisition process.

Korba. Korba district collector has written to the Superintendent of Police for action against those indulged in violation of rules in the land acquisition process for Hardibazar-Tarda road in the district. The State government, acting on the complaints received from reliable sources, directed the district collector for an investigation and submission of report. After the investigation, it was found that the compensation rules and acquisition rules were ignored. 

Rules of compensation were ignored in the acquisition process, the Collector wrote in the letter to the SP. 

Taking a serious note of the issue, action has been directed against the culprits.

It is to be mentioned, land of farmers was acquired for Hardibazar-Tarda bypass road in Korba district. Complaints of irregularities in compensation settlement and repeated purchase and sale of the same land were received. 

During the investigation, it was found that the Land Revenue Code and Land Acquisition Rules were violated in the land acquisition process. Against the rules, the case of more compensation by showing acquisition of less than five thousand square feet area had been approved. Along with this, the land of many such Khasras has also been acquired, which is not the boundary of the bypass road.
