Raipur: After a long wait of nearly two decades, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel finally entered the Bhilai Charoda Municipal Corporation office for the first time today to attend the programme of the newly elected Mayor and Chairman of the Municipal Corporation assuming charge of their office.
The Chief Minister’s dream came true today after a long wait of 22 years. “It’s a dream come true moment for me to enter the office of this Municipal Corporation. It was my dream to enter the office of this corporation only when the public have full faith in us”, said Baghel on the occasion.
Nirmal Kosare took charge as Mayor of Bhilai Charoda and Krishna Chandrakar took charge as Chairman of Bhilai Charoda Municipal Corporation on the occasion.
Extending his best wishes to the newly elected Mayor and Chairman, Chief Minister said in his address “you must work towards fulfilling the expectations of people and make public feel that their decision was right. General public have to visit office of Municipal Corporation for multiple works and it must be ensured that their work is completed on time. Besides, the development works should not be paused in any case.”
He urged all to complete all the work with unity and with the spirit of service, keeping citizen satisfaction in top priority.
Home Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said on the occasion that the people have reposed faith in the works done under Chief Minister’s model of development for the state. On this occasion, Forest Minister and In-charge Minister of Durg district Mohammad Akbar said that we will fulfill the expectations of the people and will work for the service of the people and development of the region.
Newly elected Mayor Nirmal Kosare said that Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel is his political mentor and he will fulfill the intention of the Chief Minister. Chairman Krishna Chandrakar also addressed the programme.
On this occasion, Durg Collector Dr. Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure and SSP Badri Narayan Meena were also present.
