Engineer among three abducted by LWEs.

Left Wing Extremists (LWE) abducted three persons, including an engineer of a private firm, in naxal-affected Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh.

According to police, three persons were abducted from Bedre police station area of the district on Friday. The abducted engineer was identified as Ashok Pawar.

The engineer’s wife Sonali Pawar appealed the cadres of the banned organisation for the release of her husband. In a video message, Sonali said that her husband had gone to Bastar for livelihood. Some unidentified villagers have taken him to an undisclosed location from his workplace, she said in the video, adding she has two small daughters to take care of. “I appeal from everyone to release my husband, if he had made any mistake so please forgive him,” she said in the appeal video.
