Education Deptt accepts parents' demand of online home exam after Bil’r MLA efforts

Bilaspur:Online examinations will be held in St. Francis School

 

Home examinations of St Francis School, Bilaspur, will be held online following an intervention of city MLA Shailesh Pandey. Education Department Joint Director, Bilaspur division, R N Hiradhar has issued an order to this effect. MLA Pandey had demanded from the education department for online examination following the demand of the parents of the students studying in the school. 


A large number of parents had met the city MLA Shailesh Pandey to register their protest against school’s decision to hold offline classes and examinations. As the school decided to conduct offline examination all of a sudden and students were not mentally prepared for the same, parents demanded for online examination in view of Covid threat still looming large.  


Parents said that examinations and classes should be taken online. City MLA Shailesh Pandey immediately spoke to Director, Director of Public Instructions (DPI) Sunil Jain, Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education Secretary Professor V Goyal, Joint Director Education R HiradharDistrict Education Officer DKaushik over phone and apprised them about the school management’s decisionThe Joint Director instructed St. Francis School to take the local examinations of schools online.

Along with St Francis school, home examinations in the schools across the state will now be held online due to the efforts of the MLA.
