Rajnandgaon:Usually, people, losing their favourite mobile handsets, leave hope of getting them back considering alleged apathy of the police towards complaints of mobile phone thefts and missing report. However, exemplary work done by the Rajnandgaon police under the directives of Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh has brought a ray of hope among the public of the district.
According to police, as many as 150 missing mobiles worth about Rs 20 lakh have been returned to the mobile owners, speading a wave of happiness among them. The target was given to the cyber cell by the SP to find the missing mobile. The team of cyber cell and police personnel managed to search a total of 150 missing mobiles from the district and other parts of Chhattisgarh besides other states, with most of the missing mobiles recovered in the Police Range Durg. The SP returned the mobile phones to their owners who in turn expressed their gratitude to the Durg Range IG and the SP.
Under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police and Nodal Officer of Cyber Cell, the team of cyber cell under the leadership of Cyber Cell Sub Inspector DwarkaPrasad Lautray ( Anit Shukla, constable HemantSahu, Aditya Singh, Manish Manikpuri, Manish Verma, Awadh Kishore Sahu, Manoj Khunte, Omraj Sahu, Amit Soni, Durgesh Bhuarya and constable Parvati Kanwar) succeeded in finding missing mobiles from in the cities, villages and remote Naxal affected inaccessible villages of district Rajnandgaon and other districts of Chhattisgarh like Kabirdham, Durg, Balod, Dantewada, Kondagaon, Raipur, Mahasamund, Ambikapur and districts of other states like Biharsharif district of Bihar, Nalanda, Maharashtra’s Nagpur, Pune, West Bengal’s Kolkata, Odisha’s Sundergarh, Rourkela, Telangana’s Hyderabad etc. While distributing mobile phones to their owners, the SP said that in today’s time mobile is not just a means of communication, important documents of peoplesuch as bank account, photo, videos, business software, etc., are saved in the phones.
When the mobile comes into the hands of others, they can misuse them and can also use their mobile and SIM in any crime. Therefore, if the mobile is lost, get the SIM deactivated immediately. There are safety features in the mobile, keep it running, download software like Find My Device, so that the mobile can be found automatically when it is lost, said the SP.
Keep a password in your mobile, don’t let any unknown person use your mobile, don’t download any app without reading it, don’t touch the link sent by unknown person, don’t agree unknown friend request on social media site And do not share your photo, video and data.
Be careful about cyber thugs. Durg Range IG OP Pal and Superintendent of Police SantoshSingh have been appreciated by the people for their efforts in this direction.

Using the mobile handsets of others comes under the category of crime. If anybody finds mobile phones of others then he or she should submit it to the nearest police station or cyber cell to avoid legal action.
