Congress will retain power in Chhattisgarh: Punia

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Congress In-charge P L Punia on
Thursday said that the party would retain power in Chhattisgarh in 2023
Assembly poll.  Punia was in Raipur on
Thursday to hold a meeting of the State Executive Body of Congress and he
talked to media after the meeting.

 Important issues
related to party organisation were discussed in the meeting. Booths will be
reconstituted for proper management of booths and emphasis was made to strengthen
the party organisation and continuous efforts for the same. Congress will fight
2023 Assembly elections in a better manner way and will come back to power in
flying colors, said Punia.

Coordination between the party and the government
was another major issue that was discussed in the meeting. Punia said that it
is necessary to resolve the issues related to party workers on priority as they
are the backbone of the party.

To a query regarding Congress MLAs accusing the
ministers of minting money through
transfer/posing, Punia downplayed the issue and said that the party does not need
to take cognizance of such small things. He also gave the message to the MLAs to
remain in the discipline. The party may take disciplinary action against those
found indulging in any indiscipline activities, he said.

Asked on BJP raising two and a half years formula, he
said that it is meant for the BJP but not for Congress.”

AICC Secretary for Chhattisgarh Dr Chandan Yadav,
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, CPCC President, Labour Minister Dr Shiv Kumar
Dahariya, CPCC In-charge General Secretary (Administration) Ravi Ghosh, CPCC
In-charge General Secretary (Organisation) Chandrashekhar Shukla, Vice
President Gurumukh Singh Hora among others attended the meeting of the state
executive body.
