CM Bhupesh Baghel meets Rahul Gandhi, discusses about upcoming UP elections
Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday met Rahul Gandhi in New Delhi after returning from poll bound Uttar Pradesh.
During the meeting, he discussed strategy for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections and indications of people’s trends etc. Besides, the situation and issues of Chhattisgarh were also discussed. At the same time, the Chief Minister also invited him to attend the wedding of his son Chaitanya on February 6.
The meeting between the two leaders lasted for about 40-45 minutes. Meanwhile, the situation of Uttar Pradesh elections, management were discussed. Sources said that former Congress President Rahul Gandhi has also given many important instructions.
The Chief Minister has also invited Rahul Gandhi for the wedding of his son Chaitanya Baghel. It is being said that Rahul has agreed to attend the wedding ceremony.
During the meeting, the two leaders also discussed the inclusion of some flagship schemes of the Chhattisgarh government in the manifesto of the poll bound states. In this, schemes like Kisan Nyay Yojana, landless agricultural laborer justice scheme, Godhan Nyay Yojana, Suraji village, Haat-bazaar clinic were discussed.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel had reached Delhi from Raipur on January 15. On January 16 and 17, he went door-to-door in three-four assembly constituencies of Gautam Budhnagar district to seek votes for Congress candidates. On January 18, the Chief Minister went to Mathura. There he also campaigned for the Congress candidate after worshiping at the Banke Bihari temple. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will return to Raipur on Wednesday after attending a press conference and organization meeting in Lucknow.
