Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday chaired the first introductory meeting of Chhattisgarh Cultural Council (CGCC) at his official residence here and welcomed the newly appointed members of the council.

The Chief Minister said that Chhattisgarh possesses a rich cultural heritage that is less known to the rest of the world. It needs to be brought to the fore, said Baghel and appealed to the members of the council to work together for it.

The Chief Minister said that there would be an opportunity to bring forth the talents of the state through the CGCC. 

CGCC vice-chairman and Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat said that an era has begun in Chhattisgarhi culture.

Member of the CGCC and Political Advisor to the Chief Minister Vinod Verma said that the CGCC was constituted to promote Chhattisgarhi culture. 

Vice-Chancellor of Indira Kala Sangit Vishwavidyalaya Khairagarh Padma Shri Mamta Chandrakar, Secretary of Culture Department Anbalgan P, Director of the Culture Department Vivek Acharya, art experts Jayant Deshmukh, Naval Shukla, Bhupesh Tiwari, Yogendra Tripathi, dance experts Vasanti Vaishnav, Kalicharan Yadav, Lalit Kumar, Ramkumar Tiwari, Ishwar Singh Dost, painting-sculpture expert Sunita Verma and drama expert Bhupendra Sahu were present in the meeting.
