Raipur: Chhattisgarh Institute of Medical
Sciences (CIMS) radiology department staff misbehaved with HOD after she
interrogated a female employee for remaining absent from the dury without
Radiographer and darkroom attendants
allegedly entered HOD Archana Singh’s chamber and threatened to stop MRI and CT
scans. The HOD has demanded strict action from the management in the matter.
Dr. Archana Singh, HOD in her complaint to
Dean Dr KK Sahara, told that she was handling departmental work in her chamber
at 11.30 am on Thursday. She came to know that radiographer Monika Sahu was
absent on November 24 without notice. On asking Monika, it was found that she
had submitted her application to Duty Roster Incharge Dr. Ashish Sharma a day
later on November 25.
At the same time radiographers Tulachand
Tande, Sandeep Verma, Nandkishore Chandrakar, Tikaram Matwale, Amar Sai Paikra,
Sparendra Porte, Hemlata Maravi, Sanat Tekam, Naresh Khunte and Chandraprakash
Rathod entered the chamber without permission. While creating a ruckus, they
misbehaved with Dr. Archana and threatened to stop the CT scan and MRI test.
Frightened by the incident, Dr. Archana called two security personnel along
with Dr. Ashish Sharma for her safety. A tussle broke out which was stopped by
the intervention of other department employees. After the incident all the
employees who entered the chamber stopped working.
CIMS dean Dr KK Sahara has ensured strict action against the guilty staff.
CIMS HOD Dr Neeraj Shinde said that a
complaint of misbehavior by employees has been received from HOD. The matter is
serious. Strict action will be taken.
Dr Archana said that since last few days
employees are taking leaves without information by making duty roster according
to their own. To eliminate this irregularity, she had asked all the employees
to come to duty on time.
Radiographer Tulachand Tande has been
transferred from Medical College Raigarh to CIMS. Management had received many
complaints against him in Raigarh Medical College as well. After coming here,
he has formed a group of employees. The management has received many complaints
about it. Recently, Tulachand had a dispute with the Congress leader regarding
the MRI investigation. The doctors of the department allege that he is spoiling
the system by forming a group of employees.
It has also come to the fore in the
investigation of the Radiology Department that some employees call patients for
CT scan and MRI after the OPD time is over. In lieu of investigation, money is
