Chief minister Bhupesh
Baghel on Monday paid floral tributes to the portrait of Dau Kalyan Singh,
social worker and a great gem of Chhattisgarh, on the occasion of his birth
anniversary. Industries Minister Kawasi Lakhma was also present on the occasion
at Chief Minister’s Raipur based residence office. Chief minister Baghel said
that Dau Kalyan Singh was a renowned philanthropist in Chhattisgarh. He
dedicated his life to serve the poor and downtrodden.
Baghel said that Dau
Kalyan Singh generously donated several acres of land for many noble works
including DKS Hospital in Raipur and various other hospitals, libraries,
colleges, reservoirs etc. His contribution helped in providing education and
medical facilities to every section of the society. He said that Dau ji’s
virtuous deeds and contributions can never be forgotten.
