Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel will inaugurate Tifra Flyover Bridge and Vyapar Vihar Smart Road, during his visit to Bilaspur on February 25. With the opening of this flyover and smart road, vehicular traffic on the Bilaspur-Raipur road and Vyapar Vihar–biggest business center of Bilaspur division–will be streamlined and smooth. Besides, the Chief Minister will also inaugurate the Planetarium which will serve as a center of entertainment and knowledge for the public.
An organized and wide flyover was much needed at the Tifra railway crossing on the Bilaspur-Raipur route. The construction of 1620 meters long Tifra Flyover Bridge from Tifra end to Late Jamuna Prasad Verma College has been done by the Urban Administration and Development Department at a cost of Rs 107.49 crore.
An over bridge was constructed on this railway crossing earlier also, however, there was traffic congestion in the area due to the narrow width of the bridge and a square in front of the bridge. The opening of this new flyover bridge will reduce traffic congestion in Maharana Pratap Chowk and Tifra end. City residents as well as passers-by—who use NH 130—will get relief from traffic congestion with the opening of this bridge connecting Raipur road with Bilaspur city.
