Raipur: Bilaspur MLA Shailesh Pandey on Friday said that when he had gone for Uttarakhand election campaign along with Chhattisgarh’s Health and Family Welfare Minister TS Singh Deo and Bilaspur in-charge minister Jay singh Agarwal, there was a discussion of the Chhattisgarh model. Apart from this, the Chhattisgarh state model is being discussed in the poll-bound states and also in the country, the credit goes to the Chief Minister of the state Bhupesh Baghel.
He was addressing a public meeting organised today during chief minister Bhupesh Baghel’s visit to Bilaspur.
Pandey said that it took 9 years to build the old bridge of Tifra, at that time there was BJP rule, but when the Congress government came, it took 3 years to build a new flyover and the flyover was dedicated to the public. Tifra flyover construction has always been my priority. Coordination was established with District Administration, Municipal Corporation, Urban Administration Department, Railway Administration and Electricity Department to remove the obstacles coming in Tifra flyover construction. He thanked the State Government, District Administration, Urban Administration Department, Municipal Corporation for this.
Apart from this, the MLA presented before the Chief Minister the demand of construction of 5 km drain in Arpa river on both sides for development of Bilaspur, approval of Rs 229 crore for Vyapar Vihar flyover, approval of two new bridges over Arpa river to reduce the traffic load of the city. Besides, he also demanded Rs 50 crore for works in the bridge from Kududand to Lodhipara Sarkanda and from Shanichari to Chantidih and in the Municipal Corporation.
Chief Minister said in this regard that Arpa is our lifeline, for this the emotional attachment and the first word of the state song is Arpa. There will be no shortage of funds in the upgradation of the river. No announcement can be made as the notification of the assembly session has been issued. Rest assured there will be no shortage of funds for the beautification and revitalization of Arpa, to purify the water.
