Raipur:School Education Department of Chhattisgarh asked all the District Education Officers (DEOs) to call back the teachers, attached with other schools, to their parent institutions so that education of students can be streamlined across schools in the state.
R P Verma, under secretary, issued the order on Monday and the order was circulated to all the DEOs of the state.
The department asked the DEOs to give back the teachers, attached to other schools, their parent institutions within 15 days and report the same to the Directorate Public Instructions (DPI).
It is worthwhile to mention, a question regarding the attachment with other schools and shortage of teachers was raised strongly by the Opposition in the Winter Session of Chhattisgarh Assembly in 2021. It was alleged that the shortage of teachers coupled with their attachment with other schools had affected teaching of students. While some schools had more than the teachers required, some schools had one or no teacher due to the attachment of teachers, the opposition had alleged in the Assembly.
Taking a serious note of the issue, raised in the Assembly and streamline education system, School Education Department came up with the order ending the attachment of teachers.
The DEO have been asked to implement the order within 15 days from the date of the issuance of this order and report to the DPI.
