As Chhattisgarh Government announced the name of the persons and organisations/institutions to be honoured with different awards on Rajyotsav celebrations-2021 on November 1, seven out of 31 awards went to Durg district.  These awards will be conferred on the recipients during ‘Alankaran Samaroh’ on Monday, announced Culture Minister Amarjeet Bhagat on Sunday evening. 

Janki Prasad Pulast from Bilaspur will be honoured with Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Samman for his work towards the upliftment of tribals and backward classes. Kundan Lal Gaur from Durg will be honoured with Pt Lakhanlal Mishra Samman for crime investigation, and Ramkrishna  Mission Ashram, Naraynpur will be honoured with Yati Yatanlal Samman for Non-violence and Gauraksha. Rohini Sahu from Bilaspur will be honoured with Gundadhur Samman for her achievements in Badminton. 

Similarly, Mini Mata Samman wento Dr Kalpana Deshmukh of Durg for her work towards women empowerment, Guru Ghasidas Samman went to Puranik Lal Chelak for social awareness/Dalit upliftment, Thakur Pyarelal Singh Samman went to Chhattisgarh Rajya Sahkari Bank Maryadit Raipur for contribution towards corporative sector, Hazi Hassan Ali Samman went to Janab Raunak Jamal of Durg for promotion of Urdu Language, Pt Ravishankar Shukla Samman went to Vidya Rajput of Raipur for work in social, economic and education sector, Pt Sundarlal Sharma Samman went to Nandkishore Tiwari of Bilaspur for literature, Chakradhar Samman went to Prabhanjay Chaturvedi of Durg and Sunil Tiwari of Raipur for Music and Art, Dau Mandraji Samman went to Kashiram Sahu of Bilaspur and Rekha Dewar of Mungeli for Folk Art/Sculpture, Dr Khubchand Baghel Samman went to Mukesh Chowdhary of Raigarh for Agriculture, Maharaja Agrasen Samman went to K M Naidu of Bastar for social integrity, Danveer Bhamashah Samman went to Bhawani Sao Ramlal Sao Dharmada Trust of Mungeli for donation and inspirational work, Smt Bilasabai Kewtin Matsya Vikas Puraskar went to Anil Kumar Sahu for fishery, and Sanskrit Language Award went to Dr Toyanidhi Vaishnav for contribution towards Sanskrit language. 

Dr Bhanwar Singh Porte Samman will get Jango Raitar Samaj Kalyan Samiti Chhattisgarh for service towards tribal and their upliftment. Maharaja Ramanuj Pratap Singhdeo Samman jointly went to NTPC Thermal Power Station Jamnipali (Korba), Prasanjeet Saha, V Janardhanrao, Ramlal and Deepak Kumar Pandit for labour welfare, Bisahudas Mahant Puraskar will be shared by Sunil Kumar of Champa, Rajaram Dewangan of Janjgir-Champa (2018-19), Tukaram Dewangan (Janjgir-Champa) and Shriram Dewangan (Janjgir Champa for 2019-20) for weaving. Similarly, Rajrajeswhari Karunamata Hathkargha Protsahan Puraskar will be shared by Rajesh Kumar Dewangan and Tikaram Dewangan of Baloda Bazaar –Bhatapara for contribution in weaving. 

Devdas Banjare Memorial Panthi Puraskar went to Hriday Prakash Anant of Janjgir-Champa and Amoldas Tandon (2020-21) of Bhilai Sector-3 for folk art. Devdas Banjare Memorial Panthi Nritya Puraskar went to Gaukaran Das Baghel of Durg for the Panthi dance. Kishore Sahu Samman went to Manmohan Singh Thakur of Raipur for writing script for Hindi/Chhattisgarhi cinemas and direction, acting etc. Kishore Sahu Rashtriya Alankaran went to Apurv Badgaiya of Mumbai for direction in Hindi/Chhattisgarhi cinemas and Dhanvantari Samman went to Dr K B Shrinivas Rao of Raipur for a contribution towards Ayurved treatment.

In the journalism field, Ambu Sharma of Dantewada and Anshuman Sharma will be honoured with Chandulal Chandrakar Memorial Patrakarita Samman for a contribution towards Hindi (print media) journalism and electronic media respectively. Similarly, Tikeshwar Patel of Raipurwill receive Madhukar Kher Patrakarita Samman for his contribution towards Print Media (English), Pt Madhav Rao Sapre Rashtriya Rachanatmak Samman went to Mrinal Pandey of Tikamgarh (MP) for creative writing. Thakur Bhupendra Pratap Singh and Shamim Rahman will share the Barrister Thakur Chhedilal Samman for their achievement in legal fields.
