The Health Department of Chhattisgarh Government has issued new guidelines regarding the discharge of corona affected undergoing treatment in home isolation. Director of Health Services, Neeraj Bansod has issued a circular in this regard to the Chief Medical and Health Officers (CMHOs) of all the districts.
The Health Director said that patients with or without symptoms of Covid-19, who are being treated and monitored in home isolation, can be discharged within seven days from the date of being found positive, if they do not have fever in the last three days (5th, 6th and 7th day). No corona test is required before discharge. Earlier, the 14 days used to be the time period for discharge of patients in home isolation and a test was required to confirm negative report.
