Many programmes to be organized for elderly on the occasion of International Day of Older Persons

Raipur: On the occasion
of International Day of Older Persons on October 1, social welfare department will
organize many programmes with the objective to create more respectable
environment for elderly in the society. On this day, a State Level Felicitation
Programme will be organized to honour the renowned senior citizens for their
achievements in the field of sports, literature, music, acting, dance, singing,
Corona Warriors. On this occasion, various competitions and fun games will be
organized for amusement of the elderly. District officials concerned have been
directed to organize district level competitions for senior citizens on
September 25. They have been directed to strictly follow the COVID protocol
while organizing these programmes.
