Landowners who took ten times the actual compensation will return the amount to Bastar Railway.

Bilaspur. The High Court has directed the landowners to return the compensation amount received in lieu of the land acquired for the Jagdalpur to Rawghat railway line. The Single Bench of Justice NK Vyas has issued directions to pass the award afresh within six months, keeping the FIR intact in this case.
The land was acquired for laying the railway line from Jagdalpur to Rawghat. For this, the Bastar Railway Private Limited Company, NMDC, Steel Authority of India and the State Government paid the bill. Landlords Nilima Belsaria and Bali Nagvanshi together with the officials got compensation of Rs.80 lakh instead of Rs.8 lakh. The Bastar Railway Private Limited Company, brought the matter to the notice of the Collector. An FIR was lodged against the landowners who got ten times more compensation.
Apart from this, a petition was filed through advocate Vaibhav Shukla before the High Court to return the excess amount received by the landowners as compensation.
On the other hand, the landowners Nilima Belsaria and Bali Nagvanshi had filed a petition in the High Court to quash the FIR registered against them. After hearing the case, the Single Bench has directed the landowners to refund the excess amount received as compensation. Along with this, keeping the FIR registered against the landowners intact.
