Excise Department takes action against sale of illegal liquor.

Raipur. As per Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s orders, the police is taking necessary action to continuously prevent the sale of illicit liquor in the state. On 03 January 2022, the State Level Flying Squad of the Excise Department conducted a surprise check in 12 hotel bars, 13 dhabas in Raipur.
On January 03, the Excise Department conducted the raid at the liquor shops of all the districts. The District Balodabazar Bhatapara staff on January 04, 2022 caught a Bolero registered under accused Dilip Chaitre. The vehicle had 50 cartons of foreign liquor manufactured and labeled as valid for sale in the state of Goa, Madhya Pradesh, a total quantity of 450 bulk liters illegally confiscated in the rear trolley of the vehicle.
Charge sheets were given after irregularities were found in the bar. Similarly, F.L. Chargesheets have been given for general irregularities in 3 hotel bars.
A joint team of State Level Flying Squad, Divisional Flying Squad Raipur and Raipur in a surprise check found irregularities in FL4’s Patrician Welfare Society Club, Amigos Society Bilaspur Red Chili Bar Bilaspur. Cases have been instituted after finding irregularities on surprise inspection.
A case has been registered under section 36 (A) of Excise Act in Dhaba Khalsa Punjabi Dhaba Bilaspur Raipur Road after a surprise check of Dhaba. The action has caused a stir in all the Dhaba bar operators.
