Congress Gearing Up for ‘Bharosa Yatra’ in Chhattisgarh’s 90 Assembly Constituencies on October 2

Raipur The Congress party in Chhattisgarh is gearing up to organize a ‘Bharosa Yatra’ (a trust march) across all 90 assembly constituencies of the state on October 2. Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) President, Deepak Baij, has unveiled plans for the Yatra scheduled for October 2 as part of their extensive election preparations in Chhattisgarh. Eminent leaders have been assigned specific responsibilities for different regions. This grand march aims to serve as a platform for MLAs and leaders to inform the public about the achievements of the state government. Notably, there is anticipation that Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi may revisit Chhattisgarh for the second time in a span of 15 days, possibly on October 4. Over the past five years, the Chhattisgarh government has executed a multitude of projects benefiting the public. A comprehensive account of these accomplishments will be shared with the public during the Trust March. This crucial decision was reached following an exhaustive marathon meeting held throughout the day and night on Friday. Baij stated that preparations are currently underway for the impending elections. A well-thought-out strategy has been formulated for the Trust March, which coincides with Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on October 2. As for the aspirants seeking Congress tickets, they will need to exhibit patience as more meetings are on the horizon. The Chief Minister clarified during interactions with the media that additional meetings will precede the announcement of candidate names. Bhupesh Baghel elucidated, “We conduct meetings as part of the candidate selection process. There will be more meetings, during which applications received from blocks and districts will be thoroughly discussed.” There is a likelihood of Priyanka’s participation in the forthcoming Panchayat Raj State Conference to be held in Kanker. If realized, this visit would mark Priyanka’s fourth appearance in the state this year, underscoring the party’s commitment to the region.
