Raipur: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day.

In his congratulatory message issued on the eve of Republic Day, he has said that in the year 1950, on 26 January, the constitution of the country came into existence and India was established as a sovereign democratic republic. The Constitution laid a strong foundation for social, economic, political justice and equality while ensuring the dignity and liberty of all citizens. This is the basic spirit of the Constitution. Due to this our country is moving ahead on the path of progress with unity and integrity despite the diversities.

Saluting the immortal fighters who sacrificed their lives for the freedom of India, Baghel said that we have got the boon of democracy due to the long struggle of our ancestors. It is a matter of happiness and pride that Chhattisgarh played an important role in the freedom struggle and was also represented in the Constituent Assembly. 

The Chief Minister said that the State Government is moving ahead in the direction of realising the vision ‘Garbo Nava Chhattisgarh’. In a bid to strengthen the rural economy of the state, schemes like Suraji Gaon Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana and Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay are playing an important role. As a result of the implementation of these schemes, a new era of economic change has started in Chhattisgarh.

The Chief Minister has said that even during the Corona period, the wheel of economic development in Chhattisgarh was continuously moving. Notable achievements have been made in all sectors including agriculture, industry, real estate in the state. On the occasion of Republic Day, Baghel has called upon the citizens to play an active part in ensuring unity, integrity, mutual fraternity and development of the country, so that the country and the state can be continuously strengthened.
