CM Baghel launches 4 new sub-divisions and 23 new Tehsils in the state for strengthening revenue administration
Raipur:
Chief minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated 4 new revenue sub-divisions and 23
new Tehsils in the state in a programme organized at his residence office
today. At present, there are 96 sub-divisions and 179 Tehsils in Chhattisgarh.
The introduction of new sub-divisions and Tehsil will facilitate the smooth
implementation of government schemes and strengthen administration.
The
four new sub-divisions launched by the chief minister include Tokapal in Jagdalpur
district, Marwahi in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, Bhaiyathan in Surajpur
district, and Mainpur in Gariaband district. Similarly, new Tehsils launched
today include Sipat and Bodri in Bilaspur district, Sakola (Kotmi) in
Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district, Adbhar in Janjgir-Champa district, Sariya and
Chhal in Raigarh district, Barpali, Ajgarbahar and Pasan in Korba district,
Chando, Raghunathnagar and Dora-Kochli in Balrampur-Ramanujganj district,
Biharpur in Surajpur district, Suhela and Bhatagaon in Balodabazar-Bhatapara
district, Ahiwara in Durg district, Nandghat in Bemetara district, Sarona in
North Bastar Kanker district, Barsoor in South Bastar Dantewada district, Kutru
and Gangaloor in Bijapur district and Chhote Dongar and Kohkameta in Narayanpur
district.
With
the addition of 4 new sub-divisions and 23 new Tehsils, now there will be a
total of 100 sub-divisions and 202 Tehsils in the state. Speaker of
Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly Dr. Charandas Mahant, former Rajya Sabha MP P.L.
Punia, Revenue Minister Jai Singh Agrawal along with other ministers and senior
officials were present on the launch occasion.
