Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel writes to Governor requesting time for OBC Mahasabha

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel wrote a letter to Governor Bishwabhushan Harichandan on Monday, requesting that time be allocated for the Chhattisgarh OBC Mahasabha and the Chhattisgarh Backward Classes Welfare Association. In the correspondence, Baghel highlighted that during the OBC Mahasammelan held in Raipur on Sunday, representatives from the Chhattisgarh OBC Mahasabha and the Chhattisgarh Backward Classes Welfare Association expressed their desire to meet the Governor to address their pending demands.
In his letter, Baghel earnestly requested that the Governor allocate time for a delegation from the Chhattisgarh OBC Mahasabha and the Chhattisgarh Backward Classes Welfare Association. He emphasized the importance of considering their demands with empathy and understanding.
The Mahasabha and the Association presented their demands concerning the inclusion of the OBC category in various government welfare programs. Notably, one of their key requests was the prompt implementation of a 27% OBC reservation. On that occasion, the organizations also urged the Chief Minister to facilitate a meeting with the Governor to discuss their outstanding demands. Subsequently, the Chief Minister addressed their plea by composing a formal letter to the Governor on this matter.
