Chhattisgarh CS writes to PMO for meeting between CM, his ministers and PM

Raipur:The Chief Secretary of Chhattisgarh, Amitabh Jain, written a letter to Prime Minister Office (PMO), requesting to allot date and time for a meeting between Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, his cabinet ministers with Prime and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Baghel and his cabinet ministers would meet the Prime Minister to inform him about the issues related to farmers and grievances of workers of Usna rice mills in Chhattisgarh. Paddy procurement issue will also be discussed if meeting happens, said the Chief Secretary in the letter.

The Central government has given permission for procurement of 61.65 metric tonnes of arwa (non-boiled rice) from Chhattisgarh in central pool, but the Central government has not allowed to procure Usna (boiled rice), because of which, difficulties arose in operation of 416 Usna rice mills in the state. Gunny bags are also not being supplied by the Central government, the letter added.

The Chief Secretary urged the PMO to inform the State government about date and time of the meeting.
