CG’s Ishaan Bhatnagar and his doubles partner Tanisha clinches bronze at Victor Welsh International Badminton Championships

Chhattisgarh’s ace badminton player Ishaan Bhatnagar and his doubles partner
Tanisha Cresto of Kerala clinched bronze medal at Victor Welsh International
Badminton Championships 2021 held in Scotland.

They
made it to the semi-finals of the Mixed Doubles category. The pair of Ishaan
and Tanisha defeated the pair of Tan Kok Xian and Siow Hao Shan of Malaysia by
a score of 21-16, 21-14 in 29 minutes long match in the quarterfinals. However,
in the semi-finals they had to settle for bronze after losing the match to England’s
Column Hamming and Jessica Pug.

Meanwhile,
in the men’s doubles match of this tourney, the pair of Ishaan Bhatnagar and
Sai Prateek made it to the quarter-finals.
