CG govt hikes the rate of gunny bags from Rs 18 to Rs 25

Raipur: Farmers in Chhattisgarh now be paid Rs 25 in lieu of the old gunny bags. An order has been issued by the food department in this context. 

Meanwhile, the state government has given exemption to the farmers to bring paddy to the procurement centers in their own gunny bags. Earlier, farmers were provided Rs 18 in lieu of the old gunny bags. However, now on instructions of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, the predetermined rate of gunny bags has been increased from Rs 18 per piece to Rs 25.
