Cabinet ministers Dr Shivkumar Dahariya, TS Singh Deo, and Amarjeet Bhagat inspects MCH hospital in Ambikapur

and development and Surguja district in-charge minister Dr Shivkumar Dahariya
inspected the Maternal and Child Hospital in Ambikapur. He was accompanied by
health minister TS Singh and food minister Amarjeet Bhagat who took detailed
information from senior hospital officials and doctors regarding the causes of death
of newborn babies.

The ministers strictly warned
all the concerned that such incidents should not be repeated and negligence
will not be tolerated at any level in this regard. Medical superintendent of
medical college and in-charge of pediatrics will not go on leave together. Duty
must be assigned to the concerned before going on leave. In case of shortage of
doctors or professors, then they should be recruited on contractual basis.

Expressing displeasure
over the lack of cleanliness in the hospital, the in-charge minister Dr
Shivkumar Dahariya directed to make improvements at the earliest. He directed
to make proper arrangements not to allow any unauthorized person to enter the
hospital premises. Along with this, instructions were also given to install
biometric attendance machines for all the employees. During this he also inspected
the SNCU and infant ward.
