Shailesh Pandey raised the issue of Arpa river development in the Chhattisgarh
Legislative Assembly on Thursday. He questioned the Urban Administration Minister
whether the construction of road and drain on both sides of Arpa river is being
done by Smart City Limited in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation area. If yes, then
what will be the plan for the total length of the said road and drain?
Responding to his
question, Urban Administration and Development Minister Dr. Shiv Kumar Dahriya
said 80 feet wide four-lane road and drain is being constructed on both sides
of the river from Indira Setu to Pachri Rapata and as per the approved
development plan. The length of the road is 03.60 kms (1.8 kms on the right and
1.8 kms on the left). And the length of the drain is 4.2 km (2.1 km on the
right and 2.1 km on the left). In addition, plans are being prepared for
construction of drain from village Mangala via Shivghat barrage to Indira Setu
and from Shanichari Rapata to Pacharighat barrage. Its total length is 9
kilometers (4.25 kilometers on the right and 4.75 kilometers on the left).

amount allocated to Bilaspur Municipal Corporation in the last 3 years
In context to Bilaspur
Municipal Corporation, he questioned Urban Administration Minister Dr Shiv
Kumar Dahriya that on which items how much amount was allocated to Bilaspur
Municipal Corporation from January 1, 2019 to January 31, 2022, and in what
works the amount was used?
In response to the
question, Urban Administration Minister Shiv Kumar Dahriya said that an amount
of Rs 37474.179 lakh has been released to Bilaspur Municipal Corporation out of
the approved amount of Rs 47583.679 lakh in 3 years. In which Rs 3367.56 lakh
has been approved under infrastructure head, and an amount of Rs 1740.36 lakh
has been released. He also mentioned about other approved and released funds
under various heads.
Illegal plotting in
Bilaspur Municipal Corporation area
Apart from this,
Municipal MLA Shailesh Pandey once again raised the issue of illegal plotting
in the Bilaspur Municipal Corporation area in the Vidhan Sabha. He asked how
many new residential colonies were allowed in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation
area from April 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022 and in how many residential
colonies cases of illegal plotting were registered. In response, Minister Shiv Kumar
Dahriya said that from April 1, 2021 to January 31, 2022, permission has been
granted for 4 new residential colonies in Bilaspur Municipal Corporation area
and 47 cases of illegal plotting have been registered.
Construction of
alternate route from Tifra to Ameri gate of Bilaspur
Regarding the
construction of alternate route from Tifra to Ameri gate of Bilaspur, Public
Works Department Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that administrative approval is
pending in this.
Proposed flyover
construction from Bilaspur’s Vyapar Vihar to Sirgitti
On the question of the
proposed flyover construction from Vyapar Vihar to Sirgitti in Bilaspur, Public
Works Department Minister Tamradhwaj Sahu said that the proposed cost of the
estimate sent to CGRIDCL is Rs 226 crore.
