Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghelon Monday inaugurates the National Cooperative Conference in Raipur

Raipur:Green revolution was brought by the farmers and we became self-dependent in the production of food grain during the tenure of Indira Gandhi as Prime Minister of India
Today there is so much stock of food grain that there will be no shortage of food if drought situation prevails for three years. We have empowered and prosperous our farmers through Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Yojana, said BhupeshBaghel.
Farmers today feed everyone, from animal, birds to human. If you go to a farmer’s house, he will send you only after feeding you. We have given work to 80000 self help group women. The money earned by selling vermicompost is being deposited in the account of women of self-help groups every fortnight, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said.
Many problems will be solved if the producers of the food grain are made producer of energy. There should be maximum use of ethanol as this will help improve the economy of the country. Our aim should not be only to distribute fertilizers and seeds, our aim should be to ensure farmers get support price for their produce, CM Baghel added.
