Raipur: Renowned Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is on a visit to Chhattisgarh for the shooting of his next film which is a Hindi remake of three time award winning Tamil film. He reached Raigarh on Saturday morning and will stay here till Monday.
Advisor to Chhattisgarh government Gaurav Diwedi met Kumar in Raigarh on Saturday. He also presented him ‘Rajkiya Gamcha’ as a token of respect.
During his interaction with Diwedi, the actor asked about the regional film industry, subsidies being provided in the state for filmmaking and about the new film policy. He also informed the actor about the flagship schemes of the state government.
Kumar praised the natural scenic beauty of Chhattisgarh saying that the state is blessed with splendid scenic beauty best suitable for the film shooting. Akshay who came to Chhattisgarh for the first time was accorded a rousing welcome from his fans.
