6.14 tonnes of seized charas and ganja to be set ablaze at BSP

Raipur: Nearly 6.14 tonnes of charas and ganja seized from Kabirdham district will be destroyed after setting it ablaze at Bhilai Steel Plant. A special team has been constituted for the execution of the same.
As per police officials a large number of actions have been taken under the NDPS Act in Kabirdham district of Durg range. Under which narcotics like ganja and charas have been seized in huge quantities. After the disposal of the cases, it has been decided to destroy the seized narcotics.
Meanwhile, a High Level Drugs Disposal Committee has been constituted at the range level to destroy the seized narcotics. This committee will bring 6.14 tonnes of ganja and charas from Kabirdham district to Durg on October 3 under its supervision. Following this, it will be brought to Bhilai Steel Plant for disposing it off.
As per officials, 6135.430 kg ganja, 7.840 kg ganja plant and 560 gm charas has been recovered in 109 cases. This will be set ablaze in SMS-01 of Bhilai Steel Plant on October 3.
