Sports director Shweta Sinha inspects state tennis academy being built in Raipur, instructs to complete construction within six months

Raipur: Sports and
youth welfare director Shweta Sinha, deputy director Pranav Singh along with
Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora
inspected the state tennis academy being built near Indira Gandhi Agricultural
University campus.

Sprawled over an area
of four acres the academy is being constructed at a cost of about Rs 17 crores
with an aim to promote open tennis in the state. During the inspection Shweta instructed
the officials concerned to expedite the construction work and complete it
within six months.

On this occasion,
Chhattisgarh State Tennis Association General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Hora
said that it is everyone’s heartfelt wish that this academy should be ready
soon and director Shweta Sinha is making all possible efforts to ensure the
same. Appreciating the work of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel, Hora said that
the chief minister is focusing on the development of sports in the state. This
tennis academy is being constructed on his instructions to give opportunities
to tennis players in the state.

SDM Vishal Trivedi and Tennis
Association co-secretary Sunil Surana along with other senior officials were
present on the occasion.
