Schools to be reopened in Chhattisgarh with full strength soon

Raipur: Chhattisgarh
government is gearing up to completely unlock schools. The state school
education department has prepared a proposal to call all students schools after
reviewing the Covid situation.

The schools were reopened
on August 2 this year. Apart from the primary classes, only classes of 8th,
10th, and 12th were conducted. After about a month, all the classes of the
school were opened for the students. The condition was to obtain consent from
the parents and local body representatives. Only 50 per cent attendance was
mandatory.

School education
minister Dr Premsai Singh Tekam said that the cases of corona are fewer, so it
is being considered to open schools with 100 per cent strength. The final
decision will be taken in the cabinet meeting to be held on November 22 under
the chairmanship of chief minister Bhupesh Baghel. Till now 50 per cent of the
students were being called.

Meanwhile, corona
crisis still persists in schools. On Wednesday itself, a student of a private
school in Birgaon was found corona infected. Management has closed the school.
Samples of relatives, school staff, classmates who came in contact with the
girl student are being taken. Earlier, many children have been found infected
in the schools of Mahasamund and Baloda Bazar.

Health Minister TS Singh
Deo said that one has to move ahead on the path of life. But precautions have
to be taken. Children have not been vaccinated. The staff who comes should have
100 per cent vaccination and every school management should ensure this.
