Raigarh: Raigarh police has booked an MLA’s son for assaulting a truck driver and police constable. In two separate cases an FIR has been registered against Hrithik Nayak, son of Raigarh MLA Prakash Nayak on the complaint of constable and driver by Kotwali police

As per police sources Nayak started assaulting a truck driver near Gajananandapuram Colony late on Friday night. When the truck driver somehow escaped and reached the nearby Kotra Road police station, Hrithik also reached with his friends and started beating. When the police personnel came forward to intervene, they were also beaten up by the MLA’s son. 

The Kotwali police has registered a case on separate reports of the police personnel and the truck driver. Police constable has been badly injured. Soon after the incident of assault, MLA son Hrithik Nayak and his companions fled from the spot. In this case, on the complaint of the victim constable, the police have registered an offense under sections 294, 506, 353, 294, 332, 186, 34 of IPC in the Kotwali police station. At the same time, on the complaint of the driver, the police have started investigating the matter by registering offenses under 294, 323, 341, 427, 506, 34 of IPC. The police has not been able to arrest a single accused since the crime was registered.
