A group of eight Naxalites, allegedly involved in the incident of arson in Mangapenta and Bargapara area, were arrested on Monday in a joint action of Kutru police and District Reserve Guard (DRG) Bijapur.

As per police, a composite team of Kutru Police and Bijapur DRG was out to carry out search operations and Area Domination towards forested Airamangi when the security personnel succeeded in nabbing eight outlaws identified as Hunga Kawasi (45), son of Gango Kawasi , Vaman Poyam(42), son of Vaishu Poyam, Sukhram Poyami (36), son of Songdu Poyami, Fagnu Madvi (18), son of Mangalu Madvi, Seeto Ram Madvi (26), son of Budhru Madvi, Tulsi Ram Madvi (26), son of Pandu Madvi, Badru Madvi, son of Chamru Madvi and Chandru Kuhrami (52), son of Sannu Kuhrami, all residents of village Airamangi under Kutru Police station limits of the district.

These ultras allegedly indulged in the incident of arson between Mangapenta and Bargapara on February 4, this year.

After legal proceedings against all the arrested Maoists in police station Kutru, they were produced in Dantewada court.
