MLA Shailesh Pandey calls urban administration minister, put forth demands of residents to stop survey of the Prime Minister's Housing Scheme

Raipur:
A large number of residents of Mini Basti Jarhabhatha area of Ward No. 21
Guru Ghasidas Nagar submitted a memorandum against the survey of the Prime
Minister’s Housing Scheme to MLA Shailesh Pandey today.

People
have said that they are residing here for the last 40 to 50 years and there is
an arrangement for community buildings of different societies, well-equipped mangal
bhawans, toilets etc. They do not want house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas
Yojana. Rather, they should be allowed to remain in the same condition or they
should be given a lease according to the plan of the government.

Taking
cognizance of the matter, Pandey called up urban administration minister Dr
Shiv Dahariya to discuss the matter. He put forth the demand of residents to
provide lease under Rajiv Ashraya Yojana. On his request, Minister Shiv Dahriya
has given verbal consent saying that under the Rajiv Ashraya Yojana, the lease
will be made available.

Along
with this, the Municipal Commissioner has been instructed to immediately
postpone the survey of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme so that the people
of the affected mini-basti can be given a lease under the Rajiv Aashray Yojana,
instead of being transferred. People were all smiles with effort of the MLA.
