Man disguised as income tax officer loots Rs 30 lakh from a social service organisation in Jashpur

Raipur: A man disguised as income tax
officer looted Rs 30 lakh from a social service organization of Christian
Mission engaged in the service of the poor and people with special abilities.
After a complaint with the police, the SP has ordered an inquiry to the
Pathalgaon SDOP.

Police said that according
to the complaint, this fraud has been done at the headquarters of Raigarh Ambikapur Health Association (RAHA), a
social service organization of the Mission, which has been working in the field
of healthcare for the poor and PwDs for nearly 50 years in Surguja division. The
fraudster disguised as an income tax officer asked for all the documents from the
institution and also the account of cash. Before the people of the organization
could understand anything, he threatened to send them to jail and took the cash
in the name of confiscation. 
The man single-handedly
carried out this incident. According to the complaint, an employee of the
organization itself is suspected to have committed this crime.

Jashpur SP Vijay
Agrawal said that after the complaint, the Pathalgaon police have started
investigating the matter. Some suspects are being traced, in which there is a
strong suspicion of a person from Raigarh. Further investigations are underway.
