IPS GP Singh sent to two days police remand.

Raipur. Raipur court has sent suspended IPS GP Singh has been sent on 2-day police remand. The police had sought a 7-day remand from the court for questioning. Before going to the judge’s room, GP Singh said, “I have been framed. If you see in the FIR, the property in it is not our property, nor do we have anything to do with it.” The debate in the court lasted for about 45 minutes. He was questioned for one and a half hours at the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) office before being produced in the court.

Raipur Police arrested GP Singh from Gurugram on Tuesday. He was brought to Raipur by road. 

Reportedly, GP Singh had gone to consult the lawyers of the Supreme Court in the case of sedition, disproportionate assets against him. During this, a team of police caught GP Singh.

A few years back, GP Singh himself was the chief of the Anti-Corruption Department. The officer is accused of extorting money from some people, threatening and conspiring against the government, during his time in office.

The Chief Justice had said – you will not get relief. That’s what happens if you are close to the government and do these things you will have to pay back one day. The court asked, “Why should we give security to such officers?” This is a new trend in the country, they have to go to jail.
