Rajnandgaon:Five persons of a family were burnt alive when the car, they were traveling in, caught fire near Singarpurvillage under Thelkadih police station on Rajnandgaon-Khairagarh Road in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. The deceased identified as SubhashKochar, his wife Kanti and three daughters Vriddhi, Bhawna and Pooja, the residents of Khairagarh. Bodies were been sent for post-mortem.
Subhash and family went to Balod to attend a marriage function and it was late night when they were returning home in a car. It was said that the car first might have hit the culvert and turned turtle before catching the fire. The commuters informed local police which reached the spot, according to the police. Post-mortem was conducted in Pendri Medical College, he added.
Governor Anusuiya Uikey and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel expressed deep sorrow over the death of five persons of a family in an accident took place in Rajnandgaon district of Chhattisgarh. The Governor and the Chief Minister also consoled the Kochar family of Gole Bazar area.
