CM Baghel interacts with stranded passengers of Bhilai in Nainital, directs officials of the state to take necessary measures for their safe return, all the passengers likely to come back today

Raipur: Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel on Wednesday late evening, interacted with the
stranded passengers of Bhilai in Uttarakhand from his residential office and
enquired about their wellbeing. The Chief Minister assured them not to worry
about anything. Necessary arrangements have been made by the state government
for the safe return of all the passengers. Senior officers of Chhattisgarh
state and Durg Collector were in constant touch with the officials of Nainital
administration and are constantly taking stock of the situation.

The Chief Minister said
that as soon as he got the information about the stranded passengers in
Kainchidham due to a landslide in Uttarakhand, he directed the Chief Secretary
and District Administration Durg to take all possible measures for their safe
return. During the discussion with the Chief Minister, the passengers told him
that they are completely safe. The administration has made arrangements for both
lodging and boarding for them. The passengers expressed gratefulness to Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel for prompt action for their safety.

Chief Minister spoke
one by one to Bhilai residents Roohi Mishra, Anita Mishra, Lata, Sunidhi,
Shreesha, Dhriti, and Praise, etc. Due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand, landslides
and traffic have been disrupted. Many passengers who had gone from Bhilai in
Chhattisgarh were stuck due to landslides at Kainchidham in Uttarakhand. All the
passengers of Chhattisgarh will be brought back on Thursday, October 21.
