CM Baghel directs Collectors to arrange blankets for needy in view of cold wave conditions

Raipur: Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has instructed all the district collectors of the state to provide blankets and arrange bonfire for needy in view of cold wave conditions prevailing across the state.

With reports on record-breaking cold conditions coming from different parts of state, Chief Minister Baghel, who is on a trip to Uttar Pradesh for his commitment towards Assembly elections in the state, took to twitter to direct the district collectors that the people of the state should not face any problem because of cold conditions. 

It is to be mentioned, almost all parts of the state has been witnessing below normal temperature in terms of minimum and maximum.

Several parts of the state has also witnessed record-breaking day’s minimum temperature, causing hardship for people.

The cold wave condition is likely to prevail for next few days as per prediction of the Meteorological Centre. The districts of SurgujaDivision and BilaspurDurg and Raipur divisions witnessed shivering cold in the last two daysThe lowest One Degree Celsius in the state was recorded at Agromet Filed Unit, Ambikapur on Monday


The overall lowest minimum temperature 4.9 degrees was also recorded at Ambikapur closely followed by Durg 5.4 degrees and Pendra Road 5.7 degrees. Almost all districts of the state are recording both minimum and maximum temperature much lower than the normal temperature. The minimum temperature in Raipur and Bhilai was also recorded around 9.5 degree Celsius on Monday, which was below normal.
