Bilaspur. CIMS employees’ strike ended after 59 days on Wednesday. Dr KK Sahare, the new Dean of the Medical College, met the employees as soon as he took charge. They got assurance, in writing, of investigation and action within 15 days, after which the strike ended, and all the employees returned to work.

Three hundred sixteen employees of CIMS were on strike since August 23 for a one-point demand. During this, the Health Minister and the Secretary had ordered action after testing for the period of probation, but former Dean Dr Trupti Nagaria had formed a committee to examine only the probation period. Apart from this, instead of ending the strike, he went on leave from October 1. While the system of CIMS was deteriorating due to the strike, finally, the government removed Dean Dr Tripti Nagaria and MS Dr Puneet Bhardwaj. Dr KK Sahare is the new dean. He reached the medical college on Tuesday evening and took charge. On Wednesday morning, he met the office bearers of the employees union. He assured in writing to investigate and take action within 15 days.
