Raipur. Chhattisgarh has received the first prize at the national level for creating the maximum number of digital health IDs through the Health and Wellness Center. Under the Amrit Mahotsav of Azadi, 53 thousand 067 digital health IDs got created in Chhattisgarh during Universal Health Coverage Day 2021 from November 16 to December 12. Chhattisgarh has 35 percent of the one lakh 52 thousand 942 IDs created during this period across the country. All these IDs were created in the health and wellness centers of the state.

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo congratulated the Health Department and National Health Mission on this achievement. Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr. Bharti Praveen Pawar rewarded Chhattisgarh in a program organized on Universal Health Coverage Day in New Delhi today. Dr. Alok Shukla, Principal Secretary, Health Department has also congratulated the health workers for this achievement. Director of National Health Mission, Chhattisgarh Dr. Priyanka Shukla informed that during the nationwide campaign from November 16 to December 12, all health and wellness centers of the state had screening of diseases like cancer along with general screening. During this period digital health IDs were also created under a special campaign. The ID has all the information related to the patient’s disease and treatment. With this, doctors can easily trace the medical history of the patient.

 

From November 16 to December 12, the health and wellness centers of the state screened patients for different diseases including hypertension, diabetes, and oral cancer, breast cancer and cervical cancer. State Program Manager in-charge of National Health Mission Anand Sahu received the award on behalf of Chhattisgarh in New Delhi.

Health ID can be generated through mobile number or Aadhar card. PAN card or driving license can also be used to generate health ID cards from the official website https://healthid.ndhm.gov.in/register.
