Chhattisgarh crosses major milestone of administering more than 2 crore Covid-19 vaccines

Nearly a year after commencement of Covid-19 inoculation drive, Chhattisgarh
has crossed a major milestone of administering more than two crores first doses
of Covid-19 vaccine to the eligible population.

At
least two crore 40 thousand 129 people have received their first shot of the Covid-19
vaccine in the state so far.  This
includes one crore 92 lakh 56 thousand 768 citizens above 18 years and seven
lakh 83 thousand 361 adolescents of 15 to 18 years. In both age groups, 98 per
cent and 48 per cent of the population, respectively, have been administered the first dose of the vaccine.

A
total of 3 crore 28 lakh 33 thousand 787 vaccines have been administered so far
(till January 10) including the first, second, and precaution doses of corona
vaccine in the state. Here 65 per cent of the population above 18 year of age
have been vaccinated against corona. One crore 27 lakh 70 thousand 691 citizens
of this age group have been administered both doses of vaccines. From January
10, Precaution doses are being given to health workers, frontline workers, and
people above 60 years of age who have taken both the doses in the state. On the
first day, 22 thousand 967 people have been given a precautionary dose.

To
prevent corona infection, so far a total of 10.93 lakh vaccines have been
administered in Balod district, 12.86 lakh in Balodabazar-Bhatapara, 9.38 lakh
in Balrampur-Ramanujganj, 9.47 lakh in Bastar, 9.21 lakh in Bemetara, 2.09 lakh
in Bijapur, 23.18 lakh in Bilaspur, 3.55 lakh in Dantewada, 10.17 lakh in
Dhamtari, 22.38 lakh in Durg, 6.29 lakh in Gariaband,  3.90 lakh in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 17.70
lakh in Janjgir-Champa and 10.25 lakh in Jashpur.

To
prevent corona infection, so far a 9.71 lakh doses including the first,
second, and precaution doses of corona vaccine have been administered in
Kabirdham, 9.67 lakh in Kanker, 6.94 lakh in Kondagoan, 13.88 lakh in Korba, 7.93
lakh in Korea, 16.84 lakh in Mahasamund, 7 lakh 275 in Mungeli, and  11.77 lakh in Surguja.
