Cheif Sec instructs to speed up the construction work of National Highways

Chhattisgarh Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain chaired the meeting regarding State
Level High Power Committee was held to review the sanctioned and under
construction works of National Highways through video conferencing at
Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan here today.
Discussions
were held in the meeting regarding the approval and progress of construction of
new roads and maintenance and repair of roads being built under the National
Highway Project across the state. Mr.
Jain directed to expedite the construction work of roads and culverts. Instructions were also given to provide security
in sensitive areas.
Jain
asked for regular monitoring on the construction work of roads and
culverts. In this regard, the officers
have been instructed to hold a meeting every week.
In
the meeting, the distribution of land compensation in the areas falling under
the construction of national highway projects, the process of land acquisition
in the left out areas, felling of trees in private areas, diversion of forest land,
road widening etc. discussed in detail. Mainly
Bilaspur-Urga road under Bilaspur district, Pathrapali-Katghora road under
Korba district, Champa-Korba-Churi-Katghora road, Urga-Pathalgaon road,
Raipur-Visakhapatnam-Bharatmala project under Raipur district, Raipur-Simga
road , Construction work of Tatibandh
flyover, Durg Raipur bypass Bharatmala project under Durg district,
Raipur-Simga widening project under Balodabazar district, Raipur-Visakhapatnam
Bharatmala project under Dhamtari district, Jhalmala to Sherpara widening of
road under Balod district, Construction
of Durg-Raipur bypass under Rajnandgaon district Raipur-Visakhapatnam road
under Mahasamund district, Raipur-Visakhapatnam road under Kanker district,
Raipur-Visakhapatnam road under Kondagaon district, Jagdalpur-Sukma-Konta road
under Bastar district, Surguja district
The construction works of Ambikapur-Pathalgaon road, Kunkuri to
Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border road under Jashpur district, Urga-Pathalgaon
road, Ambikapur-Balrampur-Ramanujganj road under Balrampur district were
reviewed. The progress of the proposed
road construction under Naxal affected areas was also taken in the
meeting.
