In
a letter to district collector, Pandey mentioned about news regarding mayor’s
warning to all departments to disconnect water supply connection if failed to
pay the bills. Terming the same as disheartening, he said that people of
Bilaspur are peace-loving and it’s unfair for them to struggle even for basic
facilities like electricity and water supply.

He
urged the collector to take necessary action from his part saying that it is
your responsibility to come forward and resolve the problem of such basic
facilities in such a way that there is no conflict between the departments.

Besides,
Pandey also pointed out that street lights in many parts of the city is turned
off from last several days as the electricity department has cut off the electricity
supply due to non-payment of bills by the corporation. This caused huge trouble
to the residents of my city. However, the issue was resolved.

He
suggested demanding adequate funds from the state to avoid delay in the payment
of municipal bills.

“Sir,
there should not be any ‘gang-war’ between any government departments of
Bilaspur city because it causes inconvenience to the residents and they have to
face a lot of trouble. You are requested to sit and resolve such issues so that
there is no inconvenience to the citizens”, said Pandey in his letter.
